Brownie

Brownie joined our family in May 2024. Suddenly every weekend plan accounted for a litter box and a supply of treats.

She’s been along for the messy middle — including when we got engaged in March 2026 — and happily obliged with a fist bump for the camera.

How did we meet?

Yan was doing a design challenge for the onboarding flow on a dating app. As part of the competitor analysis, she onboarded herself onto a few apps and decided Hinge had the best UX, and found Ben. Yan didn't even notice that Ben padded his height a bit, or who knows if we'd be here today. 😝

How do you know they’re the one?

We have been very compatible since day one. We have similar ideologies, are comfortable around each other, and have harmonious ways of working through our arguments.

How was our first Valentine’s Day?

Yan bought a ukulele to try to learn a song for Ben. Ben ended up learning to play City of Stars.
