Third roommate

Brownie

Brownie joined our family in May 2024. Suddenly every weekend plan accounted for a litter box and a supply of treats.

She’s been along for the messy middle — including when we got engaged in March 2026 — and happily obliged with a fist bump for the camera.

How did we meet?

Yan was doing a design challenge for the onboarding flow on a dating app. As part of the competitor analysis, she onboarded herself onto a few apps and decided Hinge had the best UX, and found Ben.

We have been very compatible since day one. We have similar ideologies, are comfortable around each other, and have harmonious ways of working through our arguments.
